Individual and Couples Counseling (In person or over the phone): is a process whereby an individual or a couple seek to resolve personal, relational or spiritual difficulties regarding their intimacy with the assistance of trained, caring sex therapists. These sessions can be 50 minutes, 80 minutes, or 110 minutes or can take the form of Intensive Counseling Sessions for singles or couples (12-36 hours of counseling over the course of four to five days). If you don't live in Colorado Springs you would stay at a local hotel near the downtown Colroado Springs area or the bed and breakfast next door and come into our office for counseling, this is comparable to 2 to 6 months of weekly counseling sessions.

Shekinah Glory Intimacy Spiritual Formation Counseling Retreats for (Engaged and Married Couples): is a safe place to expose the ways each of you are handling pain in wrong ways, while looking ahead to each other's glory, where intentional relating draws you from hiding, and where the sufficiency of the Spirit causes lasting change. We are very protective of the sacredness of your marriage bed, we use appropriate boundaries in the couples, husband and wife groups and we require confidentiality from each person in very specific ways before attending the retreat.

Out of state couples will fly into Colorado Springs and stay at a private retreat center in the Rockies, or if the majority of the couples live in Colorado Springs, we will hold the retreat at our counseling office and couples can commute from home or their hotel.

These retreats incorporate personal reflection, couple's communication, romantic activities, interactive spiritual meditation called Lectio Divina and sexual education in the couple's group, and telling your sexual story in the separate husband or wife groups to address sexual brokenness. Couples will also complete Intimacy Experiences, readings and journaling on their own. The format for the retreat is a 3 day - 2 night schedule, usually beginning on a Friday morning and ending Sunday night. Below is a description:

How can a Christian couple live in God’s design for their sexuality and at the same time celebrate her femininity, alluring power and erotic desire and his masculine strength, power to pursue, and initiative within God’s economy for their erotic desires? No matter how wounded your sexuality is, what stage of life you're in, or how long you’ve been married, the Lord desires to heal you both as you experience community in a confidential group of other couples. We will explore the following topics together and then separate into wives and husbands groups for soul care:

There will be readings, reflection and journaling from the following books:“The Bible”, “When Two Become One”, “Shekinah Glory” and "Break All the Rules" as well as assigned romantic and clinical intimacy experiences, which couples complete on their own before and during the retreat.

Embracing Your Sexuality (Single Women) Spiritual Formation Counseling Retreat: is a safe place to expose the wrong ways in which you've handled pain apart for God, while looking ahead to each other's glory, where intentional relating draws you from hiding, and where the sufficiency of the Spirit causes lasting change.

How can a Christian woman live in God’s design for her sexuality and at the same time celebrate her femininity, alluring power and erotic desire while honoring herself, her future soul mate, and her Lord? No matter how wounded your sexuality is, what stage of life you're in, or whether or not you're currently in a relationship, the Lord desires to heal you as you experience community in a confidential group of women. We will explore the following topics together:

Sex and Your Masculinity (Single Men) Spiritual Formation Group Counseling Retreat: is a safe place to expose the wrong ways in which you've handled pain apart from God, while looking ahead to each other's glory, where intentional relating draws you from hiding, and where the sufficiency of the Spirit causes lasting change.

How can a Christian man live in God’s design for his sexuality and at the same time celebrate his masculine strength, power to pursue and initiative within God’s economy for His erotic desires? And while doing this he honors himself, his future Eve, and the Lord? No matter how wounded your sexuality is, what stage of life you're in, or whether or not you're currently in a relationship, the Lord desires to heal you as you experience community in a confidential group of men. We will explore the following topics together:

¨ Understanding the driven-ness of your sexual desires within God’s ultimate purpose

¨ Handling lust—the window of the eyes that determines how you relate to women

¨ Embracing your sexuality without “white knuckling” it with sheer will power or repression

¨ Developing a sexual theology for sexual behaviors within God’s economy

¨ Preparing for your future Eve (how you handle your sexuality now will impact your future marriage)

¨ Understanding how your sexual past affects your current sexuality

¨ Understanding the difference between the masculine & feminine souls

¨ How to cherish and love a good woman (yes they’re out there!)

¨ Experiencing the New Covenant through the Lord’s redemption, forgiveness and grace

¨ Learning about sexual health, STD’s and sexual addiction

¨ Sexual Behaviors in dating, coupling, courting, engagement & marital relating
